European University Cyprus (EUC) successfully hosted the SUNRISE WP3 Plenary Meeting from 30 March to 1 April 2026, welcoming 30 participants from partner institutions across Europe for three days of strategic dialogue, collaboration, and exchange.

As co-leader of Work Package 3 (WP3), EUC played a central role in coordinating the meeting and guiding discussions on the next phase of the project. The agenda focused on key priorities for the SUNRISE alliance, including mobility initiatives, academic cooperation, employability pathways, and regional needs analysis.

Throughout the meeting, partners engaged in plenary sessions, interactive discussions, and networking activities designed to strengthen collaboration and support the alliance’s long-term objectives. These exchanges provided an opportunity to share best practices, identify common priorities, and explore new opportunities for joint action across institutions.

In addition to the formal programme, the final day included a social and cultural component, offering participants the opportunity to experience Cyprus and further strengthen informal ties within the consortium.

Reflecting the SUNRISE vision of “Empowering Regions, Inspiring Europe,” the WP3 Plenary Meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of partner universities to innovation, inclusion, and sustainable regional development in higher education.
