Getting to Know Europe, Magellan Circle – a European affairs consultancy specialising in EU funding, project development, and strategic communication.

Getting to Know Europe is an online seminar series that connects students with professionals working across European institutions and organisations. Organised by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano as part of the SUNRISE project, the programme helps students explore EU-related career opportunities in fields such as policymaking, international cooperation, human rights, advocacy, and project management.

From October 2026 to May 2027 the six online seminars, held in will offer an informal and interactive opportunity to hear first-hand career stories, learn about different professional pathways, and engage directly with guest speakers through a live Q&A.

Bringing together experts from the European Commission, EU networks, NGOs, and policy-focused organisations, the series provides valuable insights into careers connected to Europe and supports students in reflecting on their own academic and professional ambitions. Although the sessions do not award academic credits, they offer valuable practical information, inspiration, and networking opportunities for students looking to build an international career.

The next meeting is taking place online on 10. November 2026: Maria Guerra will present Magellan Circle, a European affairs consultancy specialising in EU funding, project development, and strategic communication.
