HackAlps 2026: Innovation, Open Source and International Collaboration

HackAlps 2026: Innovation, Open Source and International Collaboration

From 10 to 14 November 2026, the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (unibz) will host HackAlps 2026, an international training week organised within the SUNRISE European University Alliance in cooperation with NOI Techpark. The initiative will bring together students from across Europe for a programme combining lectures, networking, company challenges and hands-on innovation activities.

Participants will explore topics such as innovation management, entrepreneurship and startup development, meet experts, and discover South Tyrol’s innovation ecosystem through visits to NOI Techpark. A highlight of the week will be a pitch workshop led by Dr. Michalina Mroz (UITM, Poland).

The programme will culminate in a hackathon organised in collaboration with SFSCON, where international teams will develop solutions to real-world challenges proposed by local companies and present their ideas to a jury of experts. By blending academic learning, practical experience and intercultural exchange, HackAlps 2026 offers students a unique opportunity to strengthen their innovation skills and expand their international networks.
