SUMMARY:Language Education in the Age of AI: Applications and Implications
DESCRIPTION:The Free university of Bozen -Bolzano is organizing the international conference “Language Education in the Age of AI: Applications and Implications” taking place in Bolzano\, Italy on 23rd October 2026. \n  \nThe aim of this conference is to explore the opportunities\, risks\, and responsibilities associated with the use of artificial intelligence in language education. How does AI change the role of human language teachers? How does it change the needs and strategies of learners? What pedagogical practices and institutional policies are emerging? \nWe invite contributions that showcase innovative research and practices while critically examining the legal\, ethical\, pedagogical\, and psychological impacts of human–machine interaction and collaboration in language teaching and learning. \n  \nA call for papers is now open and until 1st July 2026. \nThematic areas include\, but are not limited to: \n\nlanguage instruction (e.g.\, materials writing\, classroom management\, instructional support);\nlearner autonomy (e.g.\, data-driven learning\, intelligent tutoring\, metacognitive support)\,\nlanguage assessment (e.g.\, test development\, automated scoring\, diagnostic testing)\,\nteacher research (e.g.\, reflective practice\, needs analysis\, corpus linguistics)\,\nprogram administration (e.g.\, curriculum monitoring\, workflow automation\, AI policies).\n\n  \nMore information can be found in the attached document. \n  \nFor questions\, contact LanguageCentreEvents@unibz.it \n

DESCRIPTION:The 3rd UTC International Forum will take place online from 4–6 November 2026 on the Seekube platform. \nThe forum brings together universities\, researchers\, and laboratory partners to foster international collaboration and connect students with exciting internship opportunities. Participants will have the chance to present 12- or 24-week laboratory internships\, meet talented students from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC)\, and establish new academic and research partnerships. \nAs part of the SUNRISE Alliance\, partner institutions are invited to participate free of charge. \n📅 Dates: 4–6 November 2026\n💻 Format: Online (Seekube platform) \nMore information about participation and registration will be shared soon.
