Welcome to Panoramic Outlook – How we work with impact at LSE, with prof Elizabeth Stokoe

 Elizabeth Stokoe is Professor in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE. Since 2024, she has also been Academic Director of Impact for the university. Before then, she was Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research at Loughborough University, where she worked on research and impact evaluation for the university’s submission to its national ‘Research Excellence Framework.’ In addition to her institutional experience leading impact work across both STEM and SHAPE disciplines, she also draws on her own extensive experience of generating impact from her research as a conversation analyst, from spending two periods as an industry fellow in start up and large tech organizations and developing her own spin-out focused on communication training across public, private, and commercial sectors underpinned by her research on human communication. She is a Chartered Psychologist and Honorary Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
