From March 24th to 28th, European University Cyprus (EUC) proudly hosted three distinguished colleagues from the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC): ANA VALE, LUIS GRAÇA and MARA ROCHA. This visit was part of our ongoing collaboration within the SUNRISE Alliance, highlighting our shared commitment to advancing international academic cooperation.

During their time at EUC, our colleagues had the opportunity to deliver guest lectures to students in the Nursing programs, enriching the academic experience with new perspectives and cross-institutional knowledge exchange.

In addition to teaching, a series of strategic one-to-one meetings were held with key EUC personnel: Marios Vryonides, Panagiotis Papageorgis, Andreas Stylianou, Alexandros Heraclides, Lycourgos Hadjiphanis, Myria Ioannou, Maria Prodromou, Andreas Protopapas and Georgia Solomonidou.

These productive sessions focused on identifying future opportunities for joint research, teaching initiatives, and institutional cooperation.

Particular emphasis was placed on:

• Enhancing collaboration on PhD programs, with a view to fostering joint supervision and mobility,
• The development of novel Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) in alignment with the mission of the SUNRISE Alliance.

This visit marks a significant step forward in deepening our partnership with IPVC and expanding the academic network across the alliance. We are excited about the collaborative projects ahead and look forward to the tangible impact of this academic synergy.
