SUNRISE Task 4.3 Meeting Successfully Hosted at European University Cyprus
European University Cyprus successfully hosted the SUNRISE Task 4.3 in-person meeting from 23-25 September 2026, welcoming SUNRISE partners to Nicosia for three days of collaboration, strategic planning and exchange of good practices.
The meeting provided an important platform for partners to review progress and jointly shape the next phase of Task 4.3, with a focus on support structures for common research activities, joint EU funding applications, PhD exchange, and collaboration with companies in research projects and student thesis work.
Participants exchanged experiences from ongoing initiatives and worked together through interactive group activities to develop concrete plans linked to the Task 4.3 objectives and KPIs. Discussions also addressed Horizon Europe funding opportunities, doctoral collaboration, joint research initiatives, and the further development of the SUNRISE PhD and Young Researchers Academy.
The program also connected participants with the wider research community at European University Cyprus through poster presentations and networking activities with PhD candidates and young researchers.
The meeting concluded with a joint review of the outcomes and the definition of clear next steps, responsibilities and timelines, reinforcing the shared commitment of SUNRISE partners to stronger, more coordinated and sustainable research collaboration across the Alliance.
